In the end we did get what we needed in Reiter Alm. Today was also
good and we made 4 SG runs and a GS session just like yesterday. Nice
to get some days on the long skis before we go over to Beaver Creek.
It wouldn´t be so fun to throw myself out in "the birds of pray" slope
without any training at all...
Now I´m in Muncih at the Mövenpick airport hotel and I´m waiting for
dinner, little hungry. Our flight leaves at like 11 tomorrow and we
fly through Washington. I think we´ll land in Denver in the afternoon
around 17.00 on Friday, local time.
I´m looking forward to it, it´s going to be a lot of fun! Järbyn just
called and he invited us to his house for some pizza on Wednesday,
maybe we play some poker or something. It´s a little tradition that we
have when we go to Beaver Creek.
Monstrous DH day in Reiter Alm 25/11
Belive it or not but we´ve had an amazing training today. Somehow the
slope was rockhard and we managed to do 4 good DH runs early in the
morning and then a GS session. Very important for me to feel the speed
in the DH before Beaver Creek, otherwise I get so passive, it feelt
pretty good in the end.
Pretty amazing that we could ski and that the slope was so good
because it was 6 degrees above zero this morning, didn´t look that
good and I think both me and Mackan where mentaly already back at the
hotel when we arrived with the gondola to the top...
Our plan has been changed, we will go to USA on Friday morning instead
of Saturday. We´ll stay in Denver on Saturday for some rest and
probably shopping and then we go up to train in Loveland or Vail
before we go to Beaver Creek and the first DH training. I´m really
looking forward to the trip, always fun to go to U.S. I´m planing on
buying a new camera and also some golf stuff at Golf Smith, got to
prepare for next golf season :)
Tomorrow I´ll do the same as today, DH and GS. Then we pack our stuff
together and me and Mackan go to Munich.
Soft but possible to ski 24/11
No fog today so we made a couple of runs of DH in the morning and then
a few GS. It´s very soft but also a harder base underneath so when you
slide the course it´s getting a lot better after a while. We had a
nice lunch up at the slope, a "haus toast" which was very good.
Today JP went to pick up a new service car. It´s still a Volkswagen
bus but a Multivan instead of the Transporter he´s been driving for
the last 3 years. It´s more engine in this one so he can drive a
little faster on autobahn. He also went to the factory in Mittersill
to get some new pairs of SL skis for me, we needed some more but now
I´m all set for the winter.
Doesn´t look that good with the temperatures for tomorrow, we can only
hope that it will freeze.
Now it´s dinner time!
First DH day canceled 23/11
Arrived in Reiter Alm yesterday evening. A little tired after the trip
but it was an amazing experience and I´m glad I did it.
I was suppose to ski some DH today but a lot of fog and rain stopped
our plans and I ended up at the gym for some power training instead.
It was pretty soft in the slope and I hope that it will freeze
overnight so that we can have a good day tomorrow. Hopefully we can
make 4 rund of DH and then a GS session after a short break.
My team-mates Jens, Matts, Niklas and the EC coach Jesper crashed with
a bus on their way up to Levi for the EC today, luckily they´re all
pretty ok but it was a hard crash and the bus looked rather destroyed.
It could have ended much worse, thank god it didn´t!
Now I´ll go to Ulf our phisio for some massage and then I´ll go to bed.
Bye bye Russia 22/11
I´ve had a good time here in Russia and Moscow. Yesterday I went out
in the 2nd match against Manni Pranger. Unfortunately I made a false
start in the first run against Manni and I didn´t manage to catch the
0,5 sec he had on me from the first. Too bad but I´m still happy to be
here and I hope they do it next year also and that I´m lucky to be
invited.
Now me an Jonas will fly to Munich and from there go by car to Reiter
Alm to make some speed and GS training.
Tourist with camera in Mockba 21/11
This morning we went to the red squere, was cold but fun to see. Now
I´m soon about to go out for the competition. I´ll start against
Patrik Thaler in the first heat, I´m super psyched and ready to go!
Arrived in Mockba 20/11
We landed in Mockba around 17.00 local time and then they took us by
bus into town and our hotel. We live close to the arena at Korston
hotel. Had some dinner at the restaurant and played some pool with the
rest of the swedes. Now it´s time for bed and tomorrow we´ll go for
some sightseeing in Mockba. I haven´t learned the language yet but I´m
working on it!

On my way to Moskow 20/11
My bags are once again packed together, this time with clean clothes because I managed to do some laundry during the week and I've also had some nice and relaxing days .
I'm on my way to Moskow, I fly at noon and will arrive in Moscow at 17.30 something local time. The plan was to do some training at the hill tonight but they canceled it. I don't know why, I guess they want to save the slope or something because it's pretty warm in Moscow at the moment and rainshowers. We'll have a chance tomorrow though to try it out before we'll race.
