I just arrived in Tärnaby. On my way out to make an afternoon session.
Not the best temperatures, a little too warm, but they say it´s good
conditions up at the hill so I hope they´re right...
Rafael Nadal is ready 8/11
It´s been a nice weekend so far. Not the greatest weather but I´ve
been staying indoor most of the time anyway so that doesn´t matter.
Yesterday I went to the gym as planed and that feelt good, at least
afterwards... :)
Today I´m planing to put my tennis shoes on and go for some tennis
with a friend. Last time we played we didn´t finished the game so
we´ll do it today. I think the score was like 1-1 in sets so now it´s
time to step it up, this is a very important last set!
Tomorrow I´ll go to Stockholm and then fly up to Tärnaby to our last
camp before Levi. We start skiing on Monday afternoon.
Now I´ll have a nice breakfast infront of the TV and charge my
batteries for this crucial game. I´ll let you know how it went, see if
I can take some pictures!
Bye Bye Funäs, Hello Day Off 5/11
All in all it was a good camp. Didn´t get the conditions we wished for
but it was ok and we did the best out of it. I´m happy with my skiing
and I´m looking forward to Levi. I´ll go to Tärnaby on monday morning
and hopefully we can get some days there with a hard and icy slope to
really get that last finish and to feel well prepared for the race!
Tomorrow it´s a day off! I´m planing to have a late morning and a nice
breakfast, then I´ll go to Gävle for a meeting. Maybe do some shoping
while I´m there...
I´ll try to get my ass to the gym on Saturday to maintain my strength
and then I´m thinking about playing some Tennis with a friend on
Sunday.
Windy... 4/11
Pretty cold today, mostly because of the hard wind. The slope was in
bad shape but we did a GS and a SL session so we got something out of
it. My SL is working good, even in this rough conditions so that feels
good. GS is another story, I´m having a hard time getting it together,
but I´ll get there.
Went to the gym after I took my regular nap and did some biking and
core exercises. Pretty tired after two tough sessions but I pulled
through and now we´ll go for a long SL tomorrow. Then we´ll pack our
stuff together and I´ll go to visit my girl for a couple of days
before I fly up to Tärnaby and make the last preparations.
I have a good feeling about Levi and it will be nice to start the SL
season also.
Now I better go to bed, because I´m pretty worn-out after today.
Good night!
1st day in Funäsdalen 3/11
Wasen´t the best conditions today, pretty foggy and not so hard but we
managed to make two sessions and I felt ok. In the afternoon we played
some floorball against some guys from the ski university and I guess I
don´t need to tell you how that went...
I love that we are training in Sweden for once, we´re staying at a
very good hotel, or more like apartements and the food is....swedish
and it´s nice!!
Tonight we´ll watch Atl Madrid take on Chelsea in Champions League, I
hope there will be a good game, now it´s time for dinner.
Chillin´ in Funäsdalen 2/11
Arrived safe and sound in Funäs. A lot of reindeer along the way but
we didn´t hit one. GS and SL tomorrow on the agenda. The coaches just
came back from the slope, they´ve been preparing it for tomorrow so
hopefully we get some cold temperatures during the night.
A little tired of Matts beeing so awsome all the time so I took the
liberty of strangle him, he wont ski tomorrow...
Good night!
(N.B. the picture is a montage)
Weekend over, time for Work 1/11
It´s been a nice weekend, I´ve met some friends and family and it was
just what I needed. I look forward to our camp in Funäsdalen this
week, I have some stuff to find out from the material so I hope we get
a good camp. On the weather report they say it´s going to be around
0*C, maybee a little colder so I hope they are right. Mackan and
Hargin is picking me up with a car tomorrow after lunch and then we
go.
I´ve added some new videos from our last camp in Mölltal, check it out!!
Have anyone seen a "break", because I need one... 28/10
The season has just started but after the last weeks tough schedule I
feel I need some days to regenerate. We had a good day up in Mölltal
again but I was too tired to ski in the way that I want. It´s been a
long block and I feel that I´m not really "there" and then it make no
sence to push it too far. I did some runs and then we packed our stuff
together and drove to Munich. Just landed in Arlanda and I´m now on my
way up with the train to visit my girlfriend and family. Will be nice.
Awesome with internet on the train...
We´ll get together again in Funäsdalen on Monday for some more SL and
also GS training. Seems like it´s going to be warm though, so I really
hope the hill will be in good shape when we arrive, I need it for my
testing.
My plan is to take tomorrow off, then I´ll go to the gym on friday, do
some high intense running on saturday and probably biking and core on
Sunday. Got to keep up the good work outside of the skiing aswell!
I´ve got some skiing from this camp that I´ll try to put out tomorrow.
Now it´s coffee time!
