Arrived in Monaco in the afternoon, was not so much traffic so it was
an ok trip. The new Audi A6 Allroad 3,0 TDi that we have in the team
this year is working very good. It´s a beautiful car to drive whether
you are on the highway or going over a pass in the mountains. We had
the 2,7 liter engine last year and it´s a big different with the 3,0
engine, it´s a lot of fun to drive, go to your closest Audi dealer and
try it!! You wont be disapointed.
Me and Mackan went to the gym after dinner and did a tough leg workout
and now I´m back in the appartment and thinking about waching a
episode of Entourage, 6th season before I go to bed.
Tomorrow I´m planing to go biking in the morning and then do some
running in the afternoon, try to get in a good block of training now
so I can focus on skiing next week in Mölltal and get in good shape
for the GS in Sölden the 25th of October!
No skiing in two days, now I´ll go to Monaco over the weekend 14/10
Two days of no skiing. Too much wind and they didn´t even opened the
lift to the top. I´ll go to Monaco for the weekend and hopefully we
get some good training in Mölltal next week.
According to the weather report it´s almost 20 degrees down there so
that will be nice! :)
Storm in Mölltal, went to Zermatt instead 12/10
Arrived in Zermatt for a couple of hours ago. Was a long drive, about
9 hours, I really hope I can get something out of Zermatt to make it
worth the long trip. We drove over Italy and it was 24 degrees when we
past Milano after lunch. Very nice! But as we came closer to the Swiss
border it started snowing and it seems like it´s below freezing level
up at the glacier so I think it will be good tomorrow.
Funny thing happened, as we drove through Milano we saw this company
on the side of the road and I managed to take a photo of it. Everybody
from back home in Sweden knows this company, because it´s from
Hudiksvall, I didn´t know they had a factory down here though...cool!
If everything goes according to plan I´ll stay here untill
Thursday/Friday and then I´ll go home to Monaco over the weekend.
Hopefully the weather god will be with us tonight 11/10
Yesterday we had a day off which was good because it was crappy
conditions anyway, today we where about to go up but our trainers
stopped us as we where about to jump into the cars and go up to the
liftstation. It has been snowing a lot over night and it´s was lot of
wet snow which made it impossible to ski. The good news is that
they´ve been having the snowguns on the hole day and hopefully this
wet snow combined with the manmaid snow will freeze together tonight,
after they groomed the slope with the machines.
It´s been a lot of planing last days how I´ll do this week. But it´s
seem like I´ll go to Zermatt tomorrow with Jonas and then try to get
some speed training in the mornings and then ski GS in the afternoon
as long as it´s possible. Got to prepare for the GS in Sölden but as I
miss the SG and DH training in Saas Fee last camp I feel that I want
to have some days on the long skies aswell. Before you know it, it´s
time for SC in Beaver Creek, USA, and then I want to feel prepared.
I feel it´s a good plan, weather wise it´s seems ok and I hope it will be ok.
Been playing a lot of guitar lately, a lot of Hellacopters and AC/DC
songs. It´s a great way to killing some freetime. I´ve been playing so
a lot that my right thumb got a blister from my guitar pick...wont
affect my skiing though :)
I cross my finger for some awesome conditions tomorrow!!
Photos for sponsors after training today 8/10
I´ve been having some back problems last two days, think it´s
something to do with the knee injury. Didn´t ski the last days but
today I was able to go up to the slope and I did a SL session and
acording to the timesheet I didn´t miss too much :)
Feels better now and I really do hope that I can stay healthy from now on...!
We been having a photo day for all of our sponsors after the training.
Went well but it was cold standing in the speed suit all afternoon.
The snow conditions is not so good anymore, last two days been hard on
the slope. Sand and stones makes the edges worn out and it´s hard to
ski, good that I have Jonas, alias JP, with me to fix the skies for me
between the runs.
Tomorrow I´ll do a GS session if the weather let us. Now I´ll go to
Ulf, our physio, for some massage!
My guitar arrived today 6/10
Our head coach came with my gitarr and "amp" today after beeing to
Sölden for a snow check. Didn´t look that good and I think we need to
change our plans. We where suppose to go to Sölden and do some GS next
week but as it looks now it wont happen. Dosen´t matter tough we get
good training here in Mölltal so that´ll be fine. Hopefully the snow
amount that we´ll have up there now will stay the same but it´s very
warm so we´ll have to see.
Now I´ll play some guitar and make Mackan crazy!
Turn it up!!
2nd day in Mölltal went well 5/10
Had a good day up at the mountain. I´ve been skiing 5 runs in a flat
SL course and I didn´t feel any pain in my knee. Skiing wise I´m not
that far away from my "NZ shape" in this easy conditions. My team
mates have arrived and tomorrow I´ll continue with SL but in a little
steeper section of the hill so we´ll see how that will go. Anyway it´s
awesome to be back again.
Did a 40 minute run with Jonas, my service guy, felt good to be back
in my running shoes again. I love the feeling after a though run, you
really feel that you been working out. We just had dinner, got some
steak which was very good and now when our physio Ulf is here I´ll go
to him for some massage. I have some problem with my neck, think I
need to snap it back into place again. I hate that...but it´s pretty
bad so it has to be done. I hope he knows what he´s doing :) After
that I´ll hit the sack because we´ll have to leave the hotel at 6
tomorrow, that means wake up call at 5 :(
Good night and sleep tight...ZZzzzZzzz......
First day on skis in a while... 4/10
Hi!!
Finaly I´m back in the slopes. I did some freeskiing today up at
Mölltaler Gletscher and I didn´t feel so much in the knee!! :) seems
to be all right!
I´ll do some easy and flat SL tomorrow with some Croatian team and
then my team mates will arrive here tomorrow evening. Feels great to
be back again, we had amazing weather up there today and it seems like
it will continue for some time, perfect for me to have good visibility
now when I start to get back in the game.
I´ve got a lot of greetings during this period from people and I just
wanna say thanks for your consern! Now I look forward and I´ll take it
step by step and slowly try to get back to where I was in the end of
the NZ camp.
It´s 2 a clock now and I think I´ll have a short nap before I do some
physical training in the afternoon.
