In Östersund for the Tests 21/9
I´m in Östersund right now at Scandic City, been eating some take out
sushi and now I´m just hanging out in front of the TV. I´m a little
nervous about the bike test tomorrow. Afterwards you are totaly dead,
your legs feel like spaghetti and you have so much lactic acid in your
body that you want to throw up. The test is done in two steps.
The first, which is the easy one, is basicly about figuring out our
pulse levels in the different areas of training, from low to high
intensity. You start on 50 Watts and then you increase the resistance
every 4 minutes with 50 Watts and I usually need to stay up on the
bike to 400 Watts before I´m done. Blood samples are taken after every
level and then you can se how you respond to the different Watts.
The 2nd, which makes you wanna run away and hide somewhere, is a 2
minute "bike untill you drop" session. The more you push the more
resistance you´ll get back and then they calculate the average Watt
from this 2 minutes session. I did 600 Watt avarage last time so
everything more then that is good, everything less...a failure!
Great Weekend 20/9
Been having a nice last weekend here in Hudiksvall. My sister had her
birthday on Friday so I met my family and we ate some cake of course.
Yesterday I played some golf with my Friend Magnus and it was a
perfect golf day, very nice weather but my game was terrible!!! I did
a lot of good shots but not in a row, too many mistakes. Did some
biking today for about an hour, got to prepare for my tests on
Tuesday. We´ll do a cardio test on the bike, some power tests and then
a full "scanning" of the body with a really cool machine. You can see
how much muscles and fat you have comparing to last time, if you did
put on some muscle mass during the summer and so on...
Just came back from the cinema, watched "the girl who played with
fire", the 2nd movie from Stieg Larssons books about "the Millenium",
with Mikael Blomqvist and Lisbeth Salander. It´s been a while since I
red the books but i think the content was pretty similar. Even if it´s
hard to make a good movie out of such a great book, but I think they
managed to do it in a good way.
Now I´d better go to bed, need to get some rest so I´m fit on Tuesday.
Rockin 16/9
Today I´ve been to the gym in the morning, starting to get back to
normal and I could do my normal exercises which feels good. Bought a
present for my little sister who has her birthday tomorrow and of
course it´s "Idol" on TV tonight aswell.
Yesterday I was to my friend Andreas from the awesome Hudiksvall
coverband, "Två Backar Läsk", for recording some songs in his home
studio. After some trouble with his computer we managed to record one
song and I hope I´ll be able to upload it on the homepage later on. It
was a lot of fun and I think we´ll record some more songs when we find
the time for it. I have to go and buy a hardcase for my Stratocaster
tomorrow so I can bring it with me this winter, already have a small
amplifier that will do just fine on the road.
Check out "två backar läsk" on their homepage:

Idol 15/9
Was a little slow started on the golf course today, but I played good
the last part so I hope I can start of like that next round. Made some
core workout before dinner after spending the afternoon shopping.
Just watched "Idol" on TV. I just love it, I think it´s so good.
Exciting to see all the auditions and so far this two are my
favourites:

Golfing 15/9
On the golf course with my man the Hulk!! Fredriks headcover Rocks!
Go Federer! 14/9
Amazing weather today here in Hudiksvall. Went to the beach for some
lunch and we spent like 2 hours just enjoying the sunshine and the
view. Had my sister on a short visit before she went to soccer
practice. We played some Rockband and it was the first time for me in
a while and it´s still so much fun! Then I took my bike out for a spin
for about an hour and it felt very good. Feels good for the upcoming
tests we have next week. Then you really get it on paper if you
trained good enough this summer, hopefully my short "injury period"
won´t influence the result too much.
Tomorrow I´ll finally will be able to play some golf, my friend
Fredrik and I have a start time tomorrow at Hudiksvalls GK around
08.30, it´s gonna to be legen...wait for it.....dary!
I just saw a short video from Federers semifinal against Djokovic and
this guy is amazing! I hope he can catch the 15th Grand Slam title
tonight!
Check it out if you haven´t already seen it, copy this link and paste
it in your browser:
I´ve been having a wounderful Sunday. Woke up in Lönnånger, at my
parents summer house, and had a good breakfast on the porch. Sun was
shining and it was almost like summer. Went to Bergsjö to visit my
Grandma and then back to Hudiksvall for some lunch. My back is ok so I
went to the gym for the first time in a while and it worked out nicely
so it feels good to be on track again. Me and Madelene went for a walk
after I cooked us a nice dinner and now we just made an appel-pie and
are about to watch a movie that starts in a couple of minutes. Not
often I can enyoj a nice day like this so I really appreciate it when
they do appear every once in a while...
I hope I will be able to train like I want to next week, feels like
the body maybe needed the unintentional rest but now it´s been a while
and I need to get back in shape. Hope that it will be possible to
squeeze in some golf in between aswell.
Now if you don´t mind, I have an appel-pie to attend to!
Biking 12/9
Woke up with less pain in my back today so I did some biking indoors
in the morning. Nice to be able to train again, the endorphins is like
a drug for me. I just need to stay active to function like a human
being. Did 3 times 20 min at 250 watts. Felt good and I don´t think I
lost so much during this period of injury. I rather think the body has
been able to rest and recover a little bit from the tough summer
program and also the camp in NZ.
Now I´m heading for my parents summer house in Lönnånger, like 30 k
north of Hudiksvall, for the night and I think if the weather let us
we´ll try to throw in some fishing nets and see if we can catch some
fish.
I hope my back can stay like this now so I can continue my training next week.
