Wounderful weather and the same perfect conditions. I was alone from
our team and I skied together with Hirscher, Matt and Moelgg. I did
pretty ok... ;)
This afternoon I did a little biking and then me and Niklas went down
to the relax for some swimming, jacuzzi and sauna, was nice!!
Tomorrow it´s hill skiing, I feel a little tired after this two SL
days so I won´t do a GS session after the hill skiing. I´ve put out a
new video from todays training, check it out!!
SL training 17/12
We had an amazing day at the hill today. Sunny weather and a good hard
and compact slope. Skiing felt good, even if it´s been a while since
last time.
Tomorrow I´ll go just SL again. Try to put my focus on the SL now,
it´s been a lot of speed and GS last weeks.
Arrived in Alta Badia 16/12
I´ve been having some nice days at home. Been taking it easy but also
manage to do a gym and a running session. Today I went to Alta Badia
with Mackan and we just arrived. Pretty long drive but not too much
trafic so it was ok, I like Italian highways!!
Will be fun to ski some SL again, been a while...we´ll do a SL session
tomorrow in the morning, was planing to do some GS aswell but I´ll
focus on the SL instead.
A little tired after the trip so I think I´ll go to bed, try to get my
stuff unpacked first.
Home sweet Home 14/12
Valdisere didn´t really turn out the way I wanted it to do. But that´s
racing and what´s done is done and I can only learn from my mistakes
and look forward. After the race yesterady me and Mackan took a car
and we went back home to Monaco. Will be nice with some physical
training for a couple of days, to get a break from the skis and focus
on something else for a while.
It´s really a nice Christmas spirit in MC at the moment, it´s only the
snow that´s missing. They have a nice little Christmas fair down in
the harbour and it´s decorations everywhere!!
Went to Mcdonalds for dinner, couldn´t manage to make something at
home so I took the easy way out...Big Mac x2.
Been playing a lot of guitar lately, mostly Thin Lizzy songs: Dancing
in the Moonlight, Boys are back in Town, Cowboy Song...I hope my
neighbours don´t mind!
Nr 50 tomorrow
I´ve been having a nice day in Valdisere. Went up early to make some
GS turns but couldn´t ski that much, a minor injury in consequence of
my fall in the downhill in Beaver Creek made me stop after two runs
and go down to the hotel again. Nothing major though, just as a
precaution.
I have nr 50 tomorrow, the same as in last GS race. It will be a lot
of fighting, it´s a tough slope and you need to leave everything
that´s called "good feeling" at the hotel.
Back in Valdisere 10/12
The trip from USA was ok, just very tired and jet-lagged. Yesterday we
took a day off from skiing, to get back in track again. Did a short
session at the gym though to get the muscles going.
Just came in from the hill skiing, felt good with the SG skies and the
slope is in great shape, pretty aggresive snow, a bit like US actually.
I don´t know if I´ll get in the top 30 tomorrow when I didn´t catch
any points in Beaver Creek, I´m 37 on the start list so I think it
will be tough but now when the hill is hard it shouldn´t be a problem.
License and registration, please 6/12
Didn´t manage to qualify for the second run today in Beaver Creeks GS.
A little bummed out about that but now it´s history and I look forward
to Valdisere instead.
Our USA trip is over for this time. We leave for Europe and Geneva
tomorrow. Didn´t stop us for beeing pulled over by a cop on our way
down to Denver tough. A female cop in a Dodge Charger gave us a fine
of 170 US dollars and a severe reprimand!!
We stay at a pretty cool hotel, same one that we use to live in after
the Beaver Creek races, it´s close to the airport and have a special
design...

I´ve had a nice day. Did some GS training in Vail this morning and
after that just hangin out in our flat, watching some movies.
